Hi All,
Just starting to learn to wing foil and tow foil. Not had many oppertunities with the wing but can now tow foil continious no problems.
Currently got a massive NSP 2500 front wing and looking for the next size down. Reading on the NSP surfboards site one area says the Gull wings are perfect for beginners then the table at the bottom says the gull wing series is for intermediate to advanced.
So totally confused which way to go. They have good deals on with NSP at the moment, maybe they are not so popular any more. Hopefully still ok for a learner.
So looking at a 1720 Gull wing or a 2000 “Allround” wing which is not actually even listed on there table.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers.
i would go to the glide 1600 or so. i dont know nsp and have gong material , but after the beginner foil x over (big thing like gull) i switch to the curve serie. size depending on your weight.
As I understand the foils are 5 year old designs.
They will work just as well as 5 years ago. And it does not seem like they are making any new ones.
Still I think with the progress of foils in the last five years, I would consider switching to something else, instead of investing more money in those.

Hm yeah that is what Ive started to look at. They have very good deals at the moment and decent price on front foils but maybe not a lot of future in them. 3 or 4 times the money to get a 2nd hand Axis or Armstrong setup to change over before getting more front wings.
I see NSP have a Riblet series that might be more updated but that looks a bit gimmicky.
I think I might go get some lessions from a guy that also rents gear and can try some other options to get a feel for the difference. Try and save getting lost in rabbit holes. ![]()
