Oscar's Tow Boogie

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my Tow Boogie build! I honestly wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without this forum — I got most of my ideas, research, and parts choices from posts here.

Big thanks to @ludwig_bre for open-sourcing your remote design — I used it as inspiration for mine and borrowed your steering setup (which works awesome). Also, thanks to @Jesserosco — I used your build as a reference for motor placement and overall layout.

So far I’ve only had it out once, but it worked way better than I expected for a first test— the steering feels super smooth and balanced. Still lots of testing and tuning ahead, though.

You’ll have to click the link below to actually see the project — it’s got all the pics, build details, and a video.
(Heads up: I’m a mech eng student, so the post is a bit more detailed since it’s part of my portfolio.)

Looks good Oscar!
Interesting that you’re using one of RCTestFlight’s competition props. I’m very curious how it will work out for you. I think his competition tests were at very specific conditions with a smaller motor (and smaller boat). You scaled the prop a bit so that’s a good start. Hopefully you can share an update about them (good or bad!)
