I tried the new filament from Bambu - PPA-CF. What can I say - this is the new king in your home printers. Relatively simple printing, uncomplicated post-processing. I am amazed by its hardness and durability at the same time. The only thing that upsets me is the price.
What do you think this filament will be best suited for, ie… motor pods, props, battery case, or just print everything in it if you can afford it?

Be careful with the supports, they are very difficult to separate, I broke the tip of a knife. I will probably use PA Support in cases where it would not be unnecessarily wasteful.
Yo can use organic support, builds up like a tree and use very little material and easyer to remove.
I use organic supports when printing large parts such as the FD clone.
In products of simple geometric shape, the usual support can be removed by simply pulling the edge. But not in this case)
How is the layer to layer bond with this? I find that is the primary failure point for things I do, and is the reason why usually go to petg.
Also, does the cf additive significantly add to the surface hardness? I’ve found that cf only really has an impact with respect to surface hardness and some degree of stiffness but would love to hear more about it. Can’t believe I haven’t used ppa yet
I have thin-walled models from ESUN PA12-CF and I see that the same model from PPA-12 CF is much more difficult to break in the direction of layer stacking. I do not encourage everyone to buy this material, and I do not know if you need it, I know why I need it. As for information and details, there are enough reviews with tests on YouTube.
There is also PPS-CF that looks crazy strong and can withstand temps to 264C. We are looking into this filament for our engineering needs but it isn’t easy to get hold of.
I think this material would be a good alternative to a machined aluminum housing for undermount Foil Drive clone. Even at $129 for a .75Kg spoil its much cheaper than a machined part.
Not sure anybody can use it though. Seems like only a X1E (BBL professional model) can be used

Qidi or the new creality k2 plus have heating chamber. 60-65c.
Essentially today when somebody buy a printer for engineering needs, he will better choose the one with heating chamber. I have printed 28cmX28cm 100% infill asa object on Qidi without warping.
And PPS-CF available also from Polymaker and other manuafacturers.
Same as FD, Bambu makes stuff popular, but after you became aware of new subject, look at other opportunities…
Printing pps cf is not only a question of heated chamber but more of nozzle temperature. You need 320-340 c!

Yeah you are correct, It looks like the nozzle temp is the limiting factor with the X1 Carbon. I think there are aftermarket hot ends that work with the X1C but I dont want to go down the mod rabbit hole (why I own a Bambu). Even PPA-CF looks to be a really good material for a FD, still much stronger than PETG and even PAHT-CF. I just ordered a few roles for work. We will see how it goes.
