for the last two days I’ve been playing and riding a foil powered by a Maytech 6579 motor in combination with a foldable propeller with stainless steel blades.
I have the feeling that the motor is good, but it’s literally being battered by the poorly made propeller.
And the question: does anyone have an idea for a better solution?
What surprises me most is that anyone still uses this company’s products. I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that Maytech are scammers and thieves. Ellen Maytech personally stole $30 from me. They also refused to replace my 6384 motor, which had lost all its magnets during its first ride, under the pretext that I had a barely noticeable scratch on the motor body, the thickness of a hair. So, keep in mind that any scratch on a Maytech motor can lead to magnet loss.
Somewhere back in time, on the forum, I had seen an adapter for a 6384 to a Flite propeller, which used a stainless steel bolt for the axle. Drilled for the pin, placed in a hub made on a 3D printer.
Such a solution seems to me easily achievable and interesting from the point of view that it allows you to try different propellers.
