FYI, there are deeper pinions in Reisenauer’s catalog with more area for the Loctite 648 to stick to the gear shaft:

yes that is the one i use , longer around 16mm
for the superchief: torque pinions in 5mm and 6mm for the motor shaft
for chief: just torque pinions in 5mm
