Running 2 different VESC's

I was wondering if anyone had ever run 2 different VESC’s but synched then through canbus? It should be theoretically possible I think…

For which purpose? Dual motor tow boogie? Or switching between them?

I have a wake winch which uses 2 motors and needs 2 ESC’s. I have 1 Wavemaker 200A VESC and was debating sticking on a Flipsky 200A VESC. Theoretically they just need to communicate and synch up over canbus so being different VESC’s shouldn’t really matter.
I could also run them over a PWM splitter which would completely eliminate any possible issues.
I was just wondering if anyone had ever actually tried it…
