Hello, builders
I am deciding on the parts for my first DIY foil assist kit (backpack/belt version). I currently use FD Gen2 High Power motor, and its power is more than enough for me. After reading about the brands I am currently considering Saite (as people say they might/are the FD supplier) and Flipsky since they offer on what it seems great products in general.
So I’ve been in touch with Saite, and they say their 6384 waterproof motor KV can be customized. They have also sent the pictures:
…looks waterproof, also have asked Saite to send the measures of the stator and the KV customizable range. (will post later as soon as they reply)
Now the Flipsky 6384 already comes preconfigured 140KV at 4400w
… I’ve tried talking to them and they reply, but at quite a slow rate. I will try calling them later this week with the help of my Chinese-speaking friends
“The Problem/Doubt”
I’ve spent a bit of time trying to understand what would be the “most efficient” KV configuration for battery run time and torque/thrust generation and from what I understood, it usually has lower KV values 120-130, but I have no practical experience to really make up my mind around it.
Would someone mind sharing their thinking process/personal experience with these motors and different KV used in personal builds?
