Just a huge shoutout to MakerX…
I blew up 2 G300 VESCs by putting 24V through the Uart ports by mistake. I reached out to MakerX to see if they were repairable and they said to send them in for a look. I now have them back working as good as new for a fraction of the replacement cost.
Show me another manufacturer that will do that.
I’ve just run 250 amps at 50V through both of them and they were floorless. No heat build up at all.

So those do not require a hall sensor to work? What made you choose them over a much cheaper FlipSky?
No Hall needed. you can drive them with duty cycle or current. I use duty cycle and there is no “cogging” at low speed.
I chose these as I tried Maytech and they were complete rubbish. They didn’t even deliver half their claimed amps. I had read good reviews about MakerX, so I gave them a go. Yes, they are expensive, but they are quality and customer support is fantastic.
I can vouch for the G300 too. It’s been running flawlessly in my tow boogie for several years now.
Yeah, I think the difference is that MakerX actually have some pride in their products.
