Sporadic limp mode?

Hello,

I have a problem that have occured a few times recently. Either when I go out in the water or after a crashes the efoil enters some kind of limp mode. The Flipsky VX3 only shows about 1200w at full throttle and I have to limp to shore. As soon as I have disconnected and reconnected the positive or negative cable to restart the VESC it works great again. It does not look like any cables are lose or anything. How could this be and how do I prevent it?

Perhaps you are accidentally putting the VX3 into a “low” mode.
Short press of function button will toggle from H to M to L and then H again

In the upper right corner of VX3 screen is will show H M or L

Sounds like an esc protection

Ok Thanks for the tip. I will have a look next time it happens and see if it is set to low at that moment. At the same time it sounds strange that I would enter slow mode so often, but who knows :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes that sounds possible. How do I know and how do I turn that function of in the VESC? I need to be able to crash and restart without that protection.

It is all so strange because I can have 10 big crashes and still keep going and later only one small crash (or hardly a crash at all) can trigger it.
