As title have 360kv motor with flier esc 400a, underwater with 100mm low pitch stops after 5sec, seems to run unrealiable under No load also video show. Run 6s but plan to test 12s but don’t know if more rpm will do anything. Is bit on high side with kv so no good control in low rpm. Could a VESC 75/100 have better Controll with foc and where do you think the problem is?
This makes an awful noise. Are you sure the motor is good?
What are you trying to achive? This setup was proven to fail 7Y ago, that‘s why people used geared setups at the time. Now there are low kv motors abailable, just get a 65161 inrunner with 120kv and it will work.
Can they be used in saltwater also? Already had sss motor and saw video about it but what gearing fid people use?
They can but either they should be waterproofed in a Tube with ID56 or at least be coated with epoxy and get stainless bearings.
What do you want to build? A jet or a propeller driven propulsion unit?
Jet might work, but is not easy to build. For a propeller drive, this motor does not have enough torque, you need a motor with lower kv, ideally 120kv.
Look at working setups, there is a reason why they are built as they are. 65161, 75182, 63100 Motors all work.
water propulsion, Do you mean the 120kv flier need to be covered for salt water?
