Has anyone changed the bearings on a SSS56104 motor. I would like to know the bearing sizes, so that I can order the bearings before disasembly.
Any tips or hints for dismantling and reassembly would be appreciated too.
I don’t think anyone has done this before , did my
Tp every 20h , just cleaning ( running wet) , nothing special for taking a part , just be careful for the order of the washers and on no mine rust started to size bearing on the shaft
May be not necessary to change the bearing on the first time , just a deep clean and measure the bearings size , sss motor normally are made by TFL but there a lot around there
Check tfl website before , I will look for the link …
Here :
Not sure about universal mount …
I use 608 zz ceramique like skateboard…but thé kit in yours post use 3 bearing?
3 sizes , 40 , 56mm 8-10mm shaft I guess
So 22mm ext and 7mm deep on 56mm motor ?
because juste 2 bearing in the sss 56104 500kv i think tp 40 is not the same bearing size…but yes it’s 8 /22/7 size
I changed them a few weeks ago. I got these for my SSS 56104 360kv:
Deep Groove Ball Bearing 61900 ZZ C3 10x22x6 mm
(I measured mine before ordering)
The disassembly went smooth. Just be careful with the tiny screws holding the cap. Assembly was okay, magnets are powerful, offsetting it slightly when trying to get the cap on. But with some wiggling it worked.
