StretchPod - TPU printed single piece mini pod

Wow that was fast! Thank you!

So I took the sample provided from the webpage and am a bit confused.

The file looks a bit different than the pictures. Guess the sample is an older version?

And it uses 10 screws not the 14 as written in the description?

I assume half the screws (7 for the pictures, 5 for the sample STL) do not really do anything and only the other 5/7 are actually pulling the seam together?

Is that how it is supposed to work?

Yes sample is older, I’ll update to the latest version.

Instructions are in the downloadable zip file which explain the the screws etc.

Thanks heaps for all your hard work, printing a test now :grinning:

Thank you for another mount idea.
I bought and downloaded the file, but still don’t have a clue how to mount, sequre and tighten it on a mast.
Maybe someone can do a short video…Thanks in advance

Designing a tpu mount myself now too so that it can be a simple one piece mount. Curious how this one mounts as well. Particularly how it tightens after slipping onto the mast. Mine so far is just designed a little smaller than the mast chord and I’m hoping TPU stretch will be enough to hold it in place. But it looks like this one may have extra bolts and things.

Will this also work for the saite6384?

HI, I bought the models last month but I’m using an AFS “skinny” mast now, minimum chord is 105mm !! ^^
I saw the smaller one is “only” 120mm chord, is it a big job to make a smaller version ? like 107 or 110mm chord will be perfect for me.

thank’s a lot

Hi Mev, cad design breaks if I go smaller than 115mm, I havnt had a chance to figure out what was causing it.

But the fusion files are included in the zip files so you can edit and adjust for a smaller size.

oh ok i didn’t see it, one more skill to master i supposed ^^, thank you

I was about to hit print on the file that matches the code chord, but just came across your comment.

Did you end up finding a resolution to this? I guess printing one 10mm longer is not ideal as you’re just pushing the motor dither back, and will have to fill the void anyway.

Well for me the solution was to switch to the PCB foil pod. That one fits perfectly and is also nicely designed.

Has anyone actually used this for a Flipsky motor?
As far as I can see, its impossible to mount as the cables are in the way.

I can modify it myself, just wondering if this is already done and working.
