Hi all. I have the first gen Takuma, with the large ESC. My remote display have broke and I’m looking to replace it. The V2 is not compatible as far as I understand. Have anyone succeeded to open the ESC and make it possible to replace the remote ?
Do a search one guy manage to make a Flipsky remote work with a Takuma but it was quite complex.

Please don’t post your issue in multiple topic areas.
Takuma as you know went out of business, however I believe a Canadian/European group purchased what was left.
Search the internet to find them and decide if you want to do business with them
You could also consider buying a rig from a company that is still in business

They didn’t want to sell you a remote or they asked too much $. ?
I have oldest Takuma cruiser paired with latest remote. It worked fine last season until connector on esc broke.
I can sell you my remote, I wont need it anymore. I am in EU btw so can ship only in EU

I have V2 black remote, you can see it on photo next to V1 remote.
Paired with oldest Esc V1 from your photo.
Would 250 euro with shipping included be okay? I paid 280 last year for last remote on stock haha

The video shows pairing with the ESC V2 though. Are you sure you have paired with the large V1 ESC.
As you can see in my pic the V1 is considerable larger.
Yes, in video it shows esc v2, because it was latest version of esc when new remote came out.
I bought my takuma in 2021 and it was more than a year old back then. There was no v2 esc, only big v1.
Remote was working good last season until my pins on that stupid takuma connector gave out and it is impossible to source it so I will have to change esc to vesc and get a new remote. That’s the only reason why I dont need remote anymore.
I am even willing to take it back and refund you money if you somehow don’t manage to connect it to your v1 esc.
