Tariffs in the USA - real world experience?

Anyone have any experience with what tariffs are actually charged currently upon import to the USA (from the Saite/Flipsky/AliBaba/AliExpress vendors we typically buy from)?

I’ve heard all sorts of things, generally that tariffs are always supposed to be applied, but that many times upon import the customs agents deem it not worth the effort so don’t apply any.
Asking AI I get (here: https://gemini.google.com/share/b829848403fb) that it depends on shipping method and some other things, but that on a $160 motor to expect up to $100 additional added. Also that if the website says “taxes and duties included.” in that case there are none.

All of the possibilities that you mention are likely possible. The whole tariff thing is challenging to keep up with.

This resource might prove useful.

So unless my math is off that’s 30%. Wonder what random number generator was used to come up with that
