Last August (2023), Andreas from e-surfer tested the best CNCed aluminium toroidal prop ever produced.
To the question “What is the conclusion after the test ? Was it more efficient?”
Despite the requests and the number of DiY efoils with VESCs riding in front of his office that could have provided precise data, he answered “We have no hard data yet, but the prop will be modified.”

I tested my design on mine early this past spring, and had about the same result as Waisted. Judging by the data I recorded it looked like it was slightly less efficient. It could probably perform well with some tweaks to the blade pitch and surface area.
Seems it is not as good as everyone thought it would be
