Using the Stoke Foil Boost

Hello everyone,

Adam here from Stoke Foiling.

I’ve created this topic so we can chat about the Stoke Foil Boost! For those who haven’t seen it yet, it’s an electric propulsion system that attaches to your foil, giving you an extra boost of power to get up and foiling faster.

I’m curious to hear from those of you who are already using it. What disciplines are you using it for? Have you noticed a difference in your foiling? Any tips or tricks you’ve discovered? Feel free to share your experiences and any questions you have.

And if you have any cool photos or videos of yourself using the Boost, we’d love to see them!

Let’s make this a helpful resource for everyone interested in getting the most out of their Stoke Foil Boost.

Cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam

It seems your design is pretty much a copy of this:

I’m not sure if any of the DIY’ers are using the Stoke Foil Boost.

From November 2020…
In my opinion, another one who takes advantage of the ideas on the forum to make a product to sell.
It’s a shame…
At least the Chinese from ErayFoil offered a 40% discount…

There’s a large amount of that that goes on. I’ve been approached privately for all sorts of ideas for efoils and assists by parties I know have intentions of commercial gain.

Share a video of a good Ollie on flat water with enough lift to pump without the motor touching the water. I haven’t seen one.

Hi Jezza,
Thank you for sharing this. I haven’t seen this particular design before. We have just joined this forum literally yesterday You are right it looks very similar. Would love to see a DIY version actually performing in the water. We know how hard it is to make it work

Hi Iasen_Vak,

I’m hesitant to think the designers copied it. There are only few ways you can make the retrofittable e-foil. In commercial application it is all about how well you can actually make it work. Either way good on Hiorth as the design is very clever

Hi Rttn,

We need to find someone who can actually do a good Ollie. Do you have any tips how to learn this?

Unfortunately, my skills are quite mediocre and to do a good Ollie on Stoke Foil, I need to lose about 30 kilos.
