(Very) effective e-drive for SUP?

Hey!

I’m revisiting this idea of making efficient e-drive for SUP. I dislike the drives already available at the market for this purpose as they seem very unefficient and I want to go DIY way as I have my own batteries. I even have no problem with CNC machining, 3D printing my own parts, waterproofing outrunner if needed etc.

  • I just want to know if someone knows a good, quality motor/prop combo (I will make my own battery as needed, up to 12s) that would give me as good as possible power efficiency at 6-8km/h (range vs power consumption) and speeds up to 15 or 20km/h at full throttle.

  • Is there any new, recently published motor+prop combo, with good efficiency, low no-load consumption (low waterproofing resistance), perhaps meant for foil assist?

Thanks a ton guys! =)

You need about 100W to reach 5km\h, 300W for 8, and about 2500W to reach 20km\h on inflatable SUP like 10.6 or 12.6.
