Vesc Settings For Initial Test

Could someone cast their eye over my initial settings hoping for a water test at the weekend tried the unit in a bucket and it will sit at 1500w ok, but the north sea may put a little more stress on things. FD 2 blade standard motor, Trampa 6HP Max, FD High Power Battery

Motor Type - FOC
Max Motor - 75
Abs Max Current - 100
Battery Current Max - 60
Max ERPM - 30000

Any other settings to look out for ? I Have a vesc express on the system.

I’d set the following:

Max Battery 70A
Max Motor: 140A
Abs Max 150A

Max ERPM doesnt matter, as long as its higher than what the motor can spin at.

Monitor the system and then see whether you hit your max settings and lower if you can.

I always start with my max motor close to 2x the max battery as at start off thats what you will see.
