When I run the motor wizard, the motors spin up very smoothly. Afterwards, when I use the VX3 to control them, they sound rough at the same speeds. It’s like electrically induced vibration.
Here are the FOC settings after the wizard has done its thing. you can see that the paraeters have been acquired, but why all the red boxes?
The red boxes are for a new calculation.
It’s not needed to be done again, but if you like so, press the RL button and after that the λ (Lambda) button.
As long as you do not press apply the setting shown now will not be overwritten
I don’t have smoth acceleration on the motors. They “cog” at low throttle and then spin up quickly. I am using current control and have attempted to turn off any requirement for sensor feedback.
Sounds like normal behaviour for current control without load. With current control, curent is proportional to throttle from 0 to max current. No load idle current is only a few A. That’s why it spins to max after passing the dead band. With load it will work as expected.
