Weak, no power, wont fly

Hello all,

Im calling out for help again; bottom line - board has no power and barely moves through the water. I’ve turned off phase filters and run FOC detection- all goes smoothly.

Thoughts??

Current build: 5’ x 5" Fiberglass board ~40lbs with electronics, battery, foil.

VESC: Flipsky FSESC 75200 watercooled controller.
Motor: Flipsky 65161 120KV
Controller: VX3 Controller.
Battery: 64V 5200mAh (50c lipo)

Show a vesc log running it, with current, voltage and rpm and pictures of your setup.
Do you reach 100% throttle when you’re pressing it?
Which propeller?
Are you using duct?
Is there a watt limit defined in vesc?

Your absolute Power of 3800W looks quite ok - you should be able to fly with this amount of Power - depending on technique, wing and board.
Other than that I would believe that your battery is the limiting factor: It is VERY small for an efoil; normally we are seeing 20Ah and up in order to limit the current per cell.
Assuming 64V means 15s configuration, you will have ~3,8V per cell best case meaning 57V under load which means you are pulling 67A or 12c out of your battery: For a good LiPo this should be about the limit for sustained (>5s) load; forget the outrageous 50c claim…
I would recommend to try a bigger (min 12Ah) battery with a realistic 10-15c rating.
