Which year is that vesc? There hast been a time when Bad ones have been produced (wrong resistors)
please show the motor parameters that are identified in program.
Do you have phase filters=no in program?
Motor cfg - FOC - Filters
In Case you cant find it
I will write the values tomorrow, I have to go to work.
Are you sure the battery can supply more than 32amp?
Yes, the battery is 25C, so it can handle even 550A.
so with the first setting in the picture, the power is max. 32A, with the second 36A and with the third 40A. The maximum speed in flight is only 26 km/h. It should fly faster when the motor is 120kv.
Those are normal battery currents during flight but the speed seems low. Could there be an rpm limit somehow?
which rpm do you reach with no load?
Which duty cycle during flight at full throttle?
These settings are strange, i guess you only use one vesc and no cruise control. Could be unrelated but i’d test them.
You can see the erpm value in the tool when running motor, can’t remember the screen now (but also on the km/h dial if you set the wheel circumference correctly)
I’d set ”multiple vescs over CAN” to false
So changing to false didn’t help. And with a laser rev counter measured 4600 revolutions on land at full throttle.
Two things to try:
Set both to higher value, like 80%, i guess the vesc rolls back current, starting based on these values.
I’ll try it in the morning, I’m at work again. And thank you very much for your help
4600 RPM with such low power… thats strange.
so with a fully charged battery I have 5200 revolutions.
so BIG thanks to Larsb. I changed the Duty cycle limit start to 80% and the ERPM limit start to 50% and it runs like fire. when blocking the surf against the pier, I have up to 70A in the water. Thank you very much, now just a little tweaking and it will be great.
