I am thinking about mass producing my power assist system but I would like to know what else is out there. Im talking about a 1500 watt motor power by a flipsky 75350 ESC and my ebike battery (48v, 17amp). I put it on my paddlboard, my surfboard and on the mast of my hydrofoil. I really love my system but its not without its problems.
I use a waterproof backpack which I like but I have had several water incursion problems. The flipsky ESC is water cooled so it has 2 water lines. I’m testing a motor now that has the ESC inside the motor housing which might be a better way to cool the ESC. The remote is the Flipsky VX3 which is fine.
I have bought several power assist system on Amazon and they’re all crap. Not enough power for a paddleboard.
In October im going to Hong Kong and I would like to go to Shen Zhen and talk to a few of local manufacturers. I’m a DYI guy, not an engineer, but I love my power assist system and I believe others would like it too.
Let me know if you want to share your project with me. It’s not about the money…mostly. it’s about sharing a good idea with the world. I plan on surfing well into my 80s and I can do it with a power assist system.
