G’day All,
I have been playing around with a design that uses @ludwig_bre’s hard work with his Bremote2 into a wearable sized package with a throttle trigger mounted on the index finger to be used by the thumb, in a similar approach to Duotone. I have found that trying to operate a hand held remote while trying to wing as a beginner has been a bit clunky. I have seen a few mounts for the wing to hold the remote but as I am still learning, I would like to be able to use the foil assist to get me back up wind so i don’t have to do the walk of shame and hold the wing behind me as I go. Anyway I will continue to update my progress in this thread and happy for people to jump in with any suggestions in the design.
So far the plan is to have a bare bones 45mm x 45mm housing that will be wrist mounted with a 1.5inch OLED display, GPS for speed tracking (might be moved to the RX), 380mAh (maybe larger battery), POGO charger / programming port, and HT-CT62 (ESP32 + sx1262 LoRa) with either a PCB or chip antenna. The current plan will be for it to be 3D printable most likely ABS or ASA and sealed using dichtol. Have not sorted the display sealing yet. Anyway see how we go!
