Wired Remote with GPS and Display, CAN Bus

Hi there
At the moment I am developing a wired remote for the jestsurf board of my daughter.
Why wired?

  1. on a jestsurf you need a handlebar to hold
  2. most important for me, I can read out 2 CAN Bus Systems in real time. One from the ESC and one from the BMS - which is great
  3. all remotes with wireless have been struggling (some less, some more, not reliable from my point of view)
  4. all electronics, expect the hallsensor, the display and the button can be placed in the electronics department
  5. kill switch

What is the actual state?
Remote is working, GPS is showing speed and diatance back to home location. All data is stored on a micro SD.
Both CAN Bus are readed out in real time like volatage per cell, total volatage, calculated remaining emergy, mosfett temperatures, RPM, amperes,…

What is the idea to create a post here?
Due to the lack of time (the remote has to be finished = housing and some cosmetics in the GUI latest 1.10.25), I am asking for some interested people around here to finalize it and get the know how behind. I am struggling with the time due to some other open points.

If there is a general interest I can post some pics.
Happy Sunday Fabian

Funny.

My dad just finished coding an ESP32-C3 supermini to read all the data over the CAN bus.

All was working fine except the status 3 messages. (VESC Wh used/charged)

Yesterday he finally managed to decode them properly, and he had a big smile on his face again.

Anyway. Your jetboard project sounds nice, and I will ask my dad if he is interested in helping you, as jetboards are his roots of DIY.
