12s3p housing for foil assist

Hello,
what kind of housing is suitable for a foil assist 12s3p battery of 21700 cells?
I want to put the ESC on the side so just the battery should fit.
It would be great if it is available in Germany.

You want the smallest box, fair enough. Is your ESC above the mast ? Don’t forget the receiver.
You could do some homework first:
1 - figure out your cell layout (bare) : straight (better cooling) or staggered ?
2 - to account for inter-cell glue + kapton tape + thermo wrapping, add a few mm on each 6 faces : + 5-7mm on both long vertical faces + 2mm on both short vertical faces and bottom face + 5-7mm on top face to account for the nickel strips…

Then you could be proposed a few box references compatible with this volume and its dimensions.

There is a German guy on insta who has a 12s3p battery in the foil drive box and the rest of the electronics is in an external compartment glued to the box. But he does not reply very often (if at all). He also has a post on this forum you can search beenee on instagram

Because it’s a Beeneesiness I suppose.

He started to sell all components for DIY projects months ago. Now he is on his way to Hawaii to show his e-devil. It might be the reason…

Sorry guys that I’m not that active here in this forum! That’s simply because I’m very busy working as a self-employed person and devote the rest of my time to this exciting hobby.

To be clear, BEENEE is just the name of our Custommade boards and E-devil is the corresponding name for the E-drive :slight_smile: In fact, we had considered offering a DIY kit, but I just don’t have the time to really take care of it. We also had the matter legally checked and the concerns regarding product liability etc.

Of course it’s a bit “mean” that I show what we do on Insta, especially since the current BEENEE E-Devil Inside is really very advanced. We’ve had lots of requests from all over the world, but as I said, there’s just no time to get anything going at the moment. We ask for your understanding!
