Is there a link or video that you followed to modify the Server power supply?
I may use a single 1000 watt HP power supply (HP 379123-001) to start with. Just looking for a bit more detail on how to get the power supply to function with an RC charger.
Or is it really as simple as connecting the first tab to the 4th tab? (As shown in the photo)
If you want to connect two in series to get 24V, you need to separate ground from earth on the second psu, see here: HP DPS-1200FB Power Supply Hack for charging LiPos (12 V / 24 V)

Depending psu type (for correct pins) yes it is a simple as this , did that on mine , no resistor , work fine so far
