Do you speak about SR_CLK (11-12) and SR_DAT (14) ? no sure for me to be easier.
Yes, and they end up here, which is easier to access, especially since in the bottom you are allowed to bridge the 3rd and 4th pin.
ok SR 11-12 is very easy in this case. 14 esier than 27 perhaps. Thanks taking the time to answer.
I have some success - still an issue with custom timer triggered with throttle activation. I want a dedicated timer only if throttle > 0. Some issue in my loop. Need to take more time to debug.

When Vesc:
Thanks for the update, especially while you’re on holiday! I’m very excited to follow this development. When you mentioned ‘if you have GPS’, is this still in development or will there be allowance on the chip and enough space to have it as an option?
One suggestion I’m keen for is a more rigid loop for securing the Bremote to a wrist leash, but I will design and make my own integrated into the grip.
Very nice developments here. Thanks for continuing to improve what was already a great remote.
Regarding GPS:
Both Rx and Tx have a connector for a GPS module
As the first step, I will focus on bringing the base functionality of the remote to a stable state. This includes a solid link between Tx and Rx, steering with 2 motors and reading VESC via Serial
Once this is done I am going to release the project for people to build
As a 2nd step I will add GPS and logging functionality to the Rx only. So you can see speed driven on the TX and have metr. compatible logs with power, temperature, speed, position,… on the Rx, accessible via WiFi/BT
I am currently not seeing myself adding GPS functionality in the TX in software as well. So no follow me function or distance to the craft. As said in hardware all the options are there and with a small modification to the case the module should fit as well.
Super awesome to see the updates!
As soon as it’s ready I push the trigger to upgrade my tow boogie.
Cheers
I was almost building myself a V1 Remote while waiting for V2 but it seems V2 wont be long until it’s here, I really love all the development and the new design it really allows for fitting the user now.
I already see myself designing an alternate handle to allow a 21700 battery instead as I have plenty lying around and with this design should be easy to incorporate.
Looking forward to what’s next with this build.
that would be so cool to have the follow me function. I’ll be down for a v2 that will complement my existing two v1.
This is the great thing about Open Source, someone else may choose to extend the Bremote project and make it happen.
Hi Ludwig. Congrats for the update. Really interesting. Happy to help when needed. Cheers
(I didn’t make lot on progress on my side due to work constraints but I ll be back very soon)
Update time
Made quite some progress in the last few days!
Hardware Updates
The Tx hardware is fully tested and working fine.
I’ve finished designing the Rx board, and the optional BEC board is still in development but should be done shortly.
Preview of the Rx:
Antenna Tuning
While the first Rx prototype is being manufactured, I took another look at tuning the antennas for the remote. Progress is going well—the antenna is already usable, but I want to optimize it further for even better range and reliability.
Software Progress
The software is mostly complete, including all basic functionalities.
New Remote Design
I’ve also started developing a second style of remote. This version is primarily designed for eFoil rather than tow boogie, as it has reduced steering capabilities. As a result, it will be more compact and cost-optimized.
One of the most exciting aspects is the throttle input mechanism, which I haven’t seen on the market before. Instead of a traditional throttle, you hold an eccentric “kidney” with both your index finger and thumb. From my testing, this improves precision and comfort significantly, as both fingers can work together.
Beta Testing – Looking for Testers!
Very soon, I’ll be able to build the first prototypes of the remote. For that, I would appreciate a few beta testers!

This looks fantastic. Well done. It’s clear from the pics how much effort has already been put into these. Exciting times ahead.
congrats! can’t wait for the v2
I like this new design idea!
Would it be possible to have two kidney where you could push both or one more/less for steering?
Absolutely amazing work!
