Found a usb-serial adapter and changed update rate to 5hz and Baud rate to 115200 in u-center for both gps modules and now both are working with stock firmware.
I will also look into it once I find some free time
Thank you for all the effort and I am happy it’s working for you now ![]()
can I use this to check the BN-220 GPS module on my RX?
I get nothing when running it on the RX…
Thanks!
No, currently there is no firmware to check BN-220 on Rx. Also, on Rx there is a chance the BN-220 may not be sufficient, as follow me may need a module with additional magnetometer.
Hello everyone,
I just built the bremote v2 and I have a problem at the time of calibration.
In the terminal series, the throttle values are ok but the toggle values are identical in all positions (ledt, middle and right) and even if I don’t touch the toggle during calibration.
The value is zero (0)
It seems that the magnets are not recognized by the pcb.
Is it a hardware or software problem?
Thank you.
This is very likely a hardware issue, meaning the toggle magnet sensor has a short circuit or the connection to it is broken.
Please send me some high quality images of top and bottom PCB of both sides each, specifically of the flex connector and its pins.
Please also add the bottom PCB images so I can provide feedback!
I am referring to images of the Bottom PCB, so the coffin-shaped PCB in the handle of the remote. Please send those.
Thanks
Cant see any solder bridges
Could be that the cable was not plugged in properly or another error thats hard to see.
Please plug in the flex cable between the 2 PCBs, but do not power up the PCBs (remove battery)
Use a multimeter in Ohm settings and measure between these 2 points
Please report the value you get.
1.5 ohm
I specify that I first welded the wires of the GPS module but the connection was unstable (black screen intermittently)
This instability stopped when I removed the gps.
That sounds good, next you can measure from one of the two points from above towards GND (minus), for example with the USB GND PAD (not the battery gnd pad)
that time it should be kOhm or more
Also just check if calibration works now, maybe it was just a problem of plugging the cable…
Interesting… this also hints towards a problem with the cable maybe not being plugged in correctly…
I have the same resistance : 1.5 ohm : both pcb with gnd usb
I will reconnect the elements and try again but I have already tested the flat cable connection several times…
Thank you for your time.
If it doesn’t work, is it possible to buy back the 2 PCBs ?
Ok, so there is a short circuit somewhere
We tried our best, in that case please send a mail to Jasmin from openfoil.com, reference this conversation with me and request replacement PCBs for both top and bottom Tx PCBs.
Ok, thank you again for your time.
