They don’t tell anything but ‘Ozone feeling’
For me that’s rubbish.
The video shows more images of paragliders than of their parawing.
I agree. Kind of suspicious. I would have thought they’d show off the actual parawing more if they were confident in its performance.
Two recommendations from Patrice:
- For lightwind foiling around best is Plus.
- He compares Plus and Neutra upwind capability to twintip and Droid and Pulse upwind capability he compares to foil. Therefore for the purpose of bringing yourself upwind in order to go downwind - Plus and Neutra suits less.
Cleverly Takoon has a variable number of panels & AR depending surface: seems 9/3m 12/4m & 15/5m (?)
And for Gong ar is 3 for Neutra & 2.57 for Plus
I bought all 3 Flow D-Wing sizes at the intro pre-sale prices. I receive and just tried the 4m with Ice skates and it is sweet. … More info soon when I get in the water… IMO, After reviewing all available or future launches I am convinced it is the most stable parawing out there. One thing I am looking is for a wing that takes me upwind fast and easy, that handles gusts well and does not need super fine control as I want to focus in foiling and getting waves not in babying the handle controls… (the Great lakes have gusty conditions). I also pump foil, so will use it with my tiny pump foil board on dock starts !
The Flow is well, made and one detail I observes is the small swept wing tips it has. this adds stability. The Takoon although it has variable AR it is like a BRM or a flying plastic bag. in their promo videos you can clearly see the wingtips flapping and a “so so” behavior in gusts. On the other hand, the GONG Plus Low Kite seems also a very simple and easygoing wing. Note it also has swept wingtips!! small detail. see new video here. https://youtu.be/WLUhz6YJK1M?si=icoMcDyaLU0t3Acx … and the price is good.
Finally, I just measured the line length on my 4.2m D-Wing (lines from the bar to the bridal connection point in the center of leading edge) and the length is = 1.78m. So you can add to your table! I am 1.76M tall and it is easy to retrieve for down wind. having kited for over 20 yrs,I appreciate a bit the length in lines as it expands your wing window and wind range. Only 10 to 20 cm could make a difference. I will experiment with the Flow 5.5m this summer with a 1m extension lines, it may work great, it may not. one has to try!
Ordered the 3m gong plus after the first video was posted, it looks very stable and nice profile for the 350€ shipped price!!
More videos of the plus now available on insta and yt
The ears of the plus don’t look too good, but similar to the neutra and other “simple” single skins without advanced designs on the ears such as the element one or flow.
This new hybrid conception (?) may solve panels “loosening/flapping” with closed cells for tips only: Freefly – Element Kiteboarding GmbH
Agreed. This one looks good. The price is also very attractive.
Receiving the gong plus 3m next monday, Hopefully able to test it in mistral winds until wednseday.
Second session with the 3m2 plus, it is quickely overpowered in high winds, depower is not as big as I initially thought. Starting in DW will be easy, getting upwind will be another story for me based on my low experiance in winging.
I think it will enable to start a smaller foil than paddle, for a given skill and conditions.
3m2 overpowered: 20/25 knots or more ?
Fwiw, these are much harder than winging, but in the same style. Learning to wing first will be easier I think.
I have kited a lot and I paraglide, I have a better feeling with parawing
This guy produces great parawing reviews.
Duotone is farther forward at this moment. Feels like more mature than others, nails most of the points.
On the parawing side, the Flysurfer POW range, is praised for its efficiency both in light and high winds.
Very promising concept by F-one called K-wing, and a first model called Plume

I’m thinking that with a parawing, it’s actually easier to use a remote in hand simultaneously. Here’s why:
- One hand is completely free, so hold the remote there, or
- The other hand stays in a fixed position on the bar, so you can attach the remote there
