Build from Moscow!

The main factor can be shape of the board. If the board have ability to get necessary speed. Than when you takeoff, you can easly flight with higher pitch prop… On my v2 board I am getting much more easier to takeoff
As you can see my v2 board is much more hydrodynamic shaped

On my v1 is much more harder to takeoff because of shape.

There is an opinion that boards with concave are easier to peel off from the water!

Do you have a picture of the bottom for v2 thanks? Fully agree, board shape is important, this even more if the required take of speed is high.

@XSailor Actually the picture above is v2 and has a sharper front end. The front of the v1 is flat and creates great resistance when accelerating, especially with a heavier rider. V2 in the picture above is easier to break through the waves so it is easier to achieve takeoff speed. Also the placment of battery in board and placment of mast are very important. But how to get best results, in my case is only testing. When you came to sea everything is diferent from theory…

Should the battery be placed closer to the mast?

Depending, If you have wings with lot of drag the battery should be placed as closest to the front of the board. If you want to use diferent wings then in the middle of the board. That’s my expirience.

OK, interesting. This is actually super complex issue due to the interaction between the foil and the board before take off! The foil creates extra drag compare to board only. On the other hand, the board will “plane/ let go water” at much slower speed than without the foil as the foil creates lift. So the optimal hull shape is probably rather different that is would be without a foil( e surfbord). Without a foil v1 might work better but as the foil is probably the main cause of lift(not the hull) v2 actually works better as its bow cuts better through the water /waves?

Yes, but I would like to simplify that. First you need enough speed with as little resistance as possible to reach a speed of about 18-22 kmh. After that you take off, and when you take off you need to maintain balance, and that’s a different story. The more balanced the board (battery position, mast, etc.) the easier it is to balance on it.

If you don’t want to wet your wetsuit, and ride in a dry one, then you can do it like this! The main thing is not to fall!

Hello everyone I still went to Flite! The output is a little more complicated than 5".I don’t know what the problem was, I rummaged in the settings, set everything again, and went! But when the battery ran down to 45 volts, I couldn’t get out on the wing anymore. It works quietly, sometimes it gurgles funny! It’s fun to ride it!

The engine fasteners printed with 25% filling worked for one season. I must have overstretched it. We will print 100 %!

Print it without infil an fill it with epoxy and glasfiber.
