Thare is no black burning marks, did you check soldering joint whare phase wires connect to coils?
Maby cold joint or desoldered from heat.
No, we haven’t done it yet. We replaced the motor with a flipsky 65161. Maybe it didn’t burn, but there is a smell of burnt wires. And there is a problem with the rotor, the film on the rotor is damaged, the magnets are scattered.
I use a similar hatch and managed to get it waterproof by adding a second seal next to the original one.
Mine is recessed in the boards with drains on both sides to avoid water on the board after takeoff.
Satisfied with the solution now.
We also glued an additional sealer, but it didn’t help. You can post a photo as you did. What kind of seal did you add?

We disassembled the flipsky remote control after two seasons of work in fresh water. The mode switch button does not work. Now it’s clear why.
