DIY 6384 Foil Drive Assist from South Germany

Today I replaced a bearing on the first engine.

Here’s how I always do it:

An internal bearing puller works best.
I only replaced the outer bearing.
Thanks for the tip @Jan12

The new bearing was then pressed in.

I modified my mast spacer plate.
Now I can also route the cables from the front.

This time I’m using LMT-6 connectors made from PA12.

Is the adapter disc meant to fit the flipsky waterproof motor to a hub with the old motor spacing, or the other way around? Are you able to share the file? I have the flipsky waterproof motor but a prop that doesn’t fit that hole pattern

Hello.
I created the adapter disk to attach a prop with a BDUAV hole pattern to a Flipsky motor hole pattern.
Here is the file.

For the adapter you need M4 or M4s melt nuts.

Unfortunately, e-foiling is prohibited on Lake Bodensee.

That’s bullshit Germany

E-foils are banned on Lake Bodensee because they are classified as unregistered small vehicles and cannot be equipped with the necessary safety equipment such as lighting.
The ban applies to all three neighboring countries – Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

While Germany loves the rules, I think in case of Bodensee the ban of eFoil actually comes from the Swiss and the general problem of 3 counties having to make rules together.
I think that because Switzerland bans eFoil in their country in every body of water, while Germany is not quite that strict (yet…)

also from lake constance / bodensee here. The problem seems to be even more complicated. Its actually 4 countries having to agree on something (Lichtenstein). Then there is the 2.5 m rule for powered crafts. Then there is the safety equipment rule (Lights, medkit, anchor etc.). Then you craft needs some sort of TÜV certification. And recently someone has told me that powered crafts are prohibited to have foils at all. However it is allowed to use electrical rc model boats, my “rc model boat” is controlled with a tether i have to hold on to… lets see what wapo has to say about that…

Today I finished my mast upgrades.
Now I’m moving to the Harry controller.

Curious why you use a shorter mast for the efoil position vs the longer foil assist one. Wouldn’t a longer mast be better in both uses?

For this I used my third mast with 82cm and 63100 from my 2nd build.

The 71cm EFoil mast is mainly for my daughter and my backup :call_me_hand:
