Thanks. Ive thought about using the sealed end ones.

Is it only the bottom layer that is 3mm fiberglass or is it around the sides as well?

Snowboard inserts I my goto for this type of application. Blind end and good pullout ressitance. M6

Fiberglass plate only at the bottom as reinforcement so that the inserts cannot be pulled out.

What did you use to cover the wooden form with gelcoat, epoxy or autolack?

Epoxy resin with color pigments. But it wasn’t 100% tight. When laminating with vacuum injection I had a small problem with leaks.
