Fantastic build!!! Got a couple of questions.

How thick is the foam from bottom of board to hatch?
What material did you glass into the board to attach the hinges and clips?
How many layers of carbon did you use on the hatch lid?

Thank you.
The thickness of the foam is 3cm. But I glued in the carbon stringers about 4mm.
The lid has 2 layers on each side: 300 g/m² Triaxial Carbongelege | HP-T300C + 200 g/m² Carbongewebe Köper | HP-T200C.

What material did you glass into the board to attach the hinges and clips to?

The threaded bushings are tapered in 3d printed blocks of PETG.
P:S: + 3mm fibreglass panel, see picture

Großartig!!!

Which dimensions for the blank you select?
Did you shape your board with an CNC machine?
The foil you bought?
Also a interesting question for me, what budget you need?

I plan to build, perhaps together with some people our own efoil.
So, your work are maximum good examples that self made give big and good results!

Greetings from Salzburg/ Austria

The blank was 180x100x30cm³. From it I made 2 pieces with 170x70x15. Purchased from http://www.iceblanks.com. With CNC I made only the cutout for batteries and electronics, the rest with hot wire plus sanded.
The foil: Carbon wings optimized profile for e-foils now available - Foils & Boards - FOIL.zone
For budget I have no more overview, but roughly estimated about 4000€.

Which foam core did you use for the hatch lid?

Thanks. 10mm seems quite thick. Do you think there would be any strength sacrifice with 5mm?

10mm is quite stable. I can’t estimate 5mm. I tried to make everything robust. Maybe too much?

Amazing build !! The quality is insane !
Which latch did you order ? (The metal part used to lock by turning 90°) ?

Congrats to the build, looks really good. Do you have a link to the blue part screwed to the inside of the hatch, the part that holds the lever of the latch?

Thank you very much. I bought the parts at Flying Rodeo.

Hi. Amazing build! Are the latch waterproof? Because I have also build any on aliexpress and they are not waterproof!

Other question! How have you seal the mast plate to the board? Any pictures?

The latch is not 100% waterproof. A little water will get through. In the learning phase (often diving the board) about 1h I had in the basket only little water (about 150ml). I am not sure if the water came through the latch or through the lid seal. But this is no problem for me, because the battery box and the electronics box are also sealed.

this was the part I’m interested in, did you get that from FR?

Yes, thats a FR fitting.

I already answered that question.
