EML-Store.com - The Efoil Propeller Store

Hi,

Your folding propeller seems to be great. Any news about the 65161 version ?

Thanks

Nicolas

Hi @nicolasLGM and @ericefoil ,

I have tested the new version and I was quite satisfied with the result. If you like you can write me a PM for purchasing one.

Have a great day,

Frank

Hi @Foil_A_Lot,
Nice project,
Nice to shared,
Which motor are you using?
Still 6374?
Still 130KV ? is it enough at 6S only
Which provider ?
In there some holes in its clutch ?
All moteur I found have holes, no so good for hydrodynamic ?
Thanks in advance

I have a FOLD Propeller for Flipsky and Maytech motors left.
It is new and never used.

Hello,

I just received my new one EML Foldable Propeller, nice finish (but in white)
What is the better KV for a 6374 and 8S Li-ion ?

Regards,

Hi @jpx , I just looked up the recent posts of members who are riding successfully the FOLD propeller:

@nekitesurfing 120kv / 7S
@Foil_A_Lot 130kv / 6S
@NickOldfield ? ?

I would go with 120/130kv depends on what motor is available. 160kv or 170kv is too high I think and draws to much motor amps at start up phase.

What do you guys say?

Have a great day,

Frank

Hello @superlefax,

Thanks for answering,

Shenzhen Saite Motor Co., Ltd. said :
KV can be customized to your request, from 50kv to 200kv, even higher is capable.

have a nice says too,

Jean-Pierre

Saite motors (ordered direct)
130KV N6374
Iā€™m Still using 6S
I think 7S or 8S would be better depending on what area Foil is used.

Iā€™m using the big standard 120kv 6384 motor you can get from many suppliers on AliExpress. This works well with my 7s3p battery and the fold propellers. I have just got an 8s3p today which I will be trying shortly.

120kv / 6s. A couple small paddles to get myself on foil with Axis 1150

Thanks all for reply,

I think to go with 8S3P, with a VESC
I already received a non prepared N6374 UAV 120KV.
I think I will order too 120KV for the waterproofed version 6384 to Saite Motor.
With that KV under 8S probably I will be able to takeoff bis the end of the battery.
My weight is 65kg

Today I tried the Propellerking Hyper Drive. Setup 65162 120kv on 12s
I had to modify the cone at the back of the motor as the propellor sits lower on the pin as my easyfoil aluminum 6" . no problem, used a hacksaw, now printing a shorter one

It runs very smooth and silent. top speed today was 37.1 km/h (conditions were difficult - choppy 50cm waves, most rides maxed out at 33) which is a good 10% increase over the easyfoil prop. i think on smooth water it will be even faster. downside is it reacts a bit slower to the throttle, but still very controllable.

efficiency seems comparable, over 15 km with one battery. sofar very hsppy with my purchase

Hello @superlefax ,

Iā€™m interested in a pair of propellers, one clockwise and one counterclockwise. The motors are a pair of flipsky 65161 120KV with M8 threaded shaft, 12s voltage. The project I have in mind is not an efoil. Would it be possible? For this setup, do you recommend the 3-blade or 2-blade propeller? My intention is to obtain maximum efficiency.

Hi @superlefax

I order a fold (order 1291) for flipsky 120kv 12s.
I wondering for fold if brake on esc must be activated for faster retraction of blade like we do on our RC sailplane?

Tips: It will be nice to have approximate shipping delay on order (my wife asking for Christmas :santa:)

Thanks !
