How do you cool the Sequre 12200?
Do you disassemble it and put an aluminum plate on the outside of the case?

Looking good. What layup did you use?

@gmorillo sequre 12200 is mounted onto 85x30x10mm aluminium plate which is also in contact with aluminium housing. Yesterday I did 4 hour session in waves (3 batteries) with no overheating issues, which is good as I had considered I may have needed an external coolinng plate.

@windego 2 layers of 200g 2x2 Twill 3k Black Carbon Fibre on both deck and hull.

I really like your approach. I was thinking similar if I attempt a superlight build. No big hatch on deck big bonus! Keep us posted.

@gmorillo the aluminium is slightly proud of the esc casing and the tapered connection on the battery forces the aluminium plate to be in hard contact with the 80x50mm aluminium housing

Awesome, good job.
From what I see, you didn’t remove the outer ESC housings did you?
I use a backpack to carry all the electronics, I recently bought a Sqesc12200 but I’m a little afraid of it being in the backpack without constant cooling.

@gmorillo all outer housing left on, I had same worries of no external cooling and have set thermal protection at 110 degrees. After a weeks testing no issues at all.
