Windsurf style, very first ride
Congratulations! Looks super awesome!
Cool idea to use windsurer as the motor platform.!!
Can you provide some detail on the “plate” that holds battery and electronics?
Congratulations. The motorss are wide apart, it should go well in a straight line, but active turns are only possible when you release the gas, right?
!thanks, pivot is right between the motors, with two little fins, impossible to turn without the help of hybrid control of this remote. I soon provide a technical video, so much to say, so many thing to improve too !
How far is the range on that remote?
I have the same question
very bad…10m on the sea, You expected 1 km
I had 2 of this kind of unit booster on an old parrot disco drone. It works but not really legal. It heat a lot on certain design and you must put it on tx and rx side to have great range. You will have a lot of work for waterproofing. As a first try I will put one unit on rx side only because it is easier but frankly, bRemote is the the way to go on my opinion. If there is a failure, you can swim but not easy with all this !
As an old windsurfer, I love your idea ! Congrats and it seems to work well!
Cheers from Brest
Inside the box, ES400 is scooter battery, very easy to find 3y ago in my city. It should be second hand market somewhere, ESC for charging is working, need to open on the side to find the direct + and - to get full power.
right now, I need to improve these banana connectors, with bigger bananas, they melt the solder…
ESC are set to 80A and 200000ERPM
everything comes apart easily, very practical when you don’t have much space.
I just found a board in a trash can, AHD !
Nice !
About the plate :
- looks like a kitesurf twin-tip board
- dId you try different positions or is it the fruit of your first intuition ?
- how do you mount each mast ? Looks like a mast plate below and one above the board ?
Il faut absolument que je me bricole le mien !!
Y’'a moyen qu’on se rencontre sur Marseille ou ailleurs ? Je suis sur Aix et La Ciotat, à ta dispo !
Hello,I have now bought 2 Takuma batteries, not the best technology, but after a good deal it is worth it. still using it on flat water…
@Youpi … did you have any issues using the Takuma batteries with your non Takuma ESC???..looks.like you plugged it in directly using a custom connection. Im interested to know as i would like to do something similar with one of these batteries.
Cheers
K
You can use them without the original ESC, but the quality of the pack is very poor and the capacity is not very good in relation to the weight. The battery is also thicker than usual.
@Youpi …yes they are 18650 cells…im using the batteries for my.tow boogie…works well…as the.power isnt required all the time…used.to get 45.minutes efoil time previously.

I used the charger connector. drilled the cap to pass the cables with an Spi seal.
the connector was disassembled, with a heat gun, to redo welds.
Then a new connector for the charger with hot glue…
the 25A battery is very heavy 10kg, but waterproof, the bms of quality. so no modification.
in France, we find them around 150€ following the bankrupt of Takuma, at hotmer Promos : Produits à -90% | HOTMER
I now need to find two new 3-blade aluminum propellers.
CW and CCW…
If you have any ideas…
