I changed the istalled bearings to stainless ones bevore I used it. 2nd time after around 300km. I used it mostly in fresh water, only once in salt water.
Good to know. If the SS bearings in the 63100 last 300km in fresh water, I think I’d better stick with the 65161 for salt water use. I’ve done more than 1000km in salt water with my 65161, filled with corrosionx, and it’s still running smoothly.
Didn’t notice until I was starting to put it back together. My motor must be old enough to use the rubber things instead of the ceramic seal. Going to have to see what I can do to replace them or clean them up.
Pictured is the ceramic replacements that don’t fit
I replaced the rubber things and ball bearings on my 100kv once. It is very early motor, I still use it
I never opened one but no, the circlip stops things inside from getting out so when you pull the sidecover off it won’t stop anything.
No, the circlip holds the seal in place. To remove the end cleanly, put in 2 bolts into the holes, and then use them to pull the end cap out. It super easy when dome this way.
Thank you guys, I have pulled like hell (made a puller screwed to the inner holes), put some tiny metal blades inbetween shaft and head … it does seem to have moved like 0.2mm … but is still holding strong like crazy. The chinese seem to have found the supermegaglue. I think without real force this isn’t going apart.
