Hi all, quick update using dual 65121 requires 100% ramp up setting on the fly color ESC. The dual 65121 pulls like hell !

Hi, I had another blast with the Bremotev2. Seriously it’s insanely good and now become intuitive although I need to be better at multitasking : camera pole, managing & directing tow, pumping & choosing direction, handling boat impromptu boat wave that came out of nowhere with local folks greeting!

How was your wiring with dual esc’s /65121 and the V1 receiver ? How is it now with the V2 receiver ?

hey, you just do the wiring in parallel for the ESCs with each motor connected to each ESC individually. Then for PPM, you connect each ESC PPM individually to the RX PCB

For the v2, it’s the same but you don’t need a BEC anymore, so it’s even better if you use a Sequre or Flycolor drone controller.

I assume it is because the V2 RX board includes a BEC, right ?
I think I mustn’t be the only one to wonder, so unless sbdy has a cabling diagram within hand, I will try to draw one tomorrow to make things clear…

ESC: do you think using two new waterproof Flipsky VESC v6.8 would be overkill with two 6384 motors ?

hey, still having a blast with the Bremote v2!

@SoEFoil no idea for the ESC, I’m using two fly color 160A and they work like a charm.

can you share what masts and pod your using for these motors?

How do you steer the tow behind you? Does not seem you can see it, do you hear it?

of course, I’ll post them soon.they are custom and I’m using gong mast, cheap and works fine

it may sound crazy but I’m riding around 100km almost every time I go on the lake having 10S15P, 10S14P & 10S12P. My brain is getting used the correlation of the pressure on the BRemote (that’s why I have 100% throttle steering on both motors, even to steer it) and the direction I’m giving. I also use a bit the sound when the wind is blowing on my back. Sometimes I look at it and based on where the tow is located, I know roughly where to direct and the amount of throttle it takes to make it come closer.

When I look at it often, it’s because of security as I want to avoid a swimmer, a boat, a paddle to get too close to it.

I’m learning every day and getting better progressively. It does not always work as expected but good things take time!

Hey, how are your NESE battery modules holding up? I want to start using this system. What grade of Loctite did you use? Also why did you need to use clamps during assembly, did you glue them? Still happy with the result after 2 years of use?

hey mate! sorry for the late reply!

I would not recommend NESE module. Even with ultra strong loctite they will unscrew. It’s a NO GO for me. I got ride of the NESE after 10 rides.

About yesterday with my Bremotev2. Can wait to setup the follow me mode.

What advantages do you see in V2 compared to V1?

I tried them as well, worked but the screws eventually came loose. I think it’s the creep of the 3D printed petg over time. Cool design but needs some tweaks.

I’m looking forward to follow me mode as well, but I’m already worried it’s more likely to roll over because it will steer itself through steeper waves, which I can avoid when manually steering it. I need a solution to have it self-right itself. I’ve tried this “Roll cage” but maybe I just need more noodles!

Put the noodles on one side so that it gets to the point where the motors will pull it over and always self rights the same way.
