use search its there

I suggest you make your own and share it with us  I am waiting on the V3 mast alu 19mm which i should get by the end of December and then i was thinking about making a mount out of aluminum as well.

I don’t think anyone has done this yet. @kian mounted a jet motor to a v3 mast but that’s not a 65161 motor.

I assume you are thinking about designing a 3D printable design that “wraps” the mast as opposed to the aluminum type that fits into a notch in the mast. If so this might be a useful starting point as a number of us have used this design by @jkoljo. I personally didn’t implement the fuse to motor portion and found it robust over several seasons

There is also this design by @gioclava that uses a V3 mast. There is a link to stl file he uses

This is a recent thread here that has links to the two different V3 mast profiles that might prove useful

.step file for Gong V3 (17mm) mast profile

What mast thickness do you have 17mm or 19mm?

We have V3 motor mounts, but they are at this moment at the person who is doing the anodizing.

@kian. Are these for the 65161 bolt pattern and does it work with both the 17 & 19 mm versions of mast?

It’s made for the Gong V3 17 mm mast and the 65161 motor bolt pattern.

It might also fit the Gong 19 mm mast. A 19 mm mast is on its way, and once it arrives we’ll test it and let you know.

Any updates whether it fits 19mm one? How is this part then covered…somekind of a shell?

How far into the mast do you have to cut to get the right fit?

Sorry. Still no update on the 19mm mast. (It has not arrived till now)

I put the measurements in the mast databese thread. You can use it as a canvas in Fusion360, scale according the measurements and then create a sketch following the outline.

Sorry to say, but it will not fit the 19mm version.
The mounting wings will need to be scrubber, and this will make them way to thin we think.

Are you considering making a version for the 19mm mast?

Are you going to make one?

We only use the 17 mm mast from Gong, and you are, so far, the only person we know of using 19 mm. It’s not worth it for us to mass-produce the 19 mm version.
So for now, we are not going to make the 19 mm version.
Sorry.

I think that’s @HOF
@DisappointmentFPV who started this topic might be but didn’t say if they were using 17 or 19.

I still use the V2 mast  but as far as I know as of now there isn’t a known source for a 65161 - V3 19mm mast motor mount.

I have brand new Gong V3 19mm alu mast and will make a motor miunt for it in January

I have also made step files for the mast and the mast adapter. I am waiting on 65220 motor and only then will i start working on the design. I expect it to be swift and similar to @Kian s design.

As I am also trying to make a 3D printed board I’ll open up a build thread in January anyway;)

@HOF
Perhaps you could post a link on this topic when you have your motor mount finished. :grinning:
