Ok thanks got confused just ignore this
I can`t find your online storeā¦can you update with a link?
Posted 24 Oct - so end of next week will be Nov
ok , can`t wait to seeā¦
Hello,
Because Iām lying in bed with fiver, it is impossible for me to finish the online store at this moment. Be patient guys and let me rest when I get better I will get back to you with a link.
Thanks, Jasmin
Ok, but don`t need that shop actually. Just tell us what the price will be and we can order via paypal
So nothing more happening?
Heey Jasmin,
are you feeling better again
hope you are oke, can you give us some moren information about the prop price and when we can order?
thanks
Hello everyone,
Unfortunately Jasmin is taking a small break from the business to stay closer to his family and wonāt be available untill then. He should come back soon, but in the meantime I will try my best to temporary take over this part as well.
I have been forwarded all the MPās and emails from Jasmin and Seahorseās webshop and will try to answer you all as soon as possible. Kindly send any further question / proposal to me by MP untill Jasmin comes back.
In the meantime here are few informations I can already share :
I am sorry to make you wait so long, I am still awaiting one last quotation from the CNC company and agree on planning before starting the production.
I should be able to answer you begin of the next week about when you guys can order from us.
I see some of you are cautious about the props, so I will certainly pick one or two persons from this chat to send one free propeller to be reviewed before anyone can order more. I am ready to invest in the community if community helps us back as well
I see lot of questions about the price. To be clear, target price is under 200⬠but depends heavily on order quantity and CNC quote as well. I got few quotes but none of them is ok for me right now. Hoping the last one can make a difference as we plan to work with them for lots of other parts as well.
It is great that the number of commercial propellers that can be bought in the EU (without customs fees and expensive postage) will be expanded. Itās just a shame that you changed everything about the propeller, even the direction of rotation of the propeller. After all, all successful e-foil propellers use a counter-clockwise rotation direction. There are a number of reasons for this. Clockwise rotation has no hydrodynamic or mechanical advantage.
One of the reasons is that most engine shafts are right-hand threaded!
The direction of rotation is not that important, it can be easily changed for almost everyone.
I once heard a wiseman saying that you need to think āout of the boxā to innovate. Doing so obviously requires to think about everything from scratch, hence having a very different design.
Rotation direction is purely personal preference. CFD shows no real gain / loss in efficiency. @Ackermann tried both a CW and CCW prop from us. To my knowledge there was again no gain or loss from it.
Also, all you need is a nylstop nut and you are good to go, whatever your shaft thread direction. Drones have been using them forever with very few fails despite the higher RPMās (I have been using 2450kV motors at 4S and never had any loose propeller, even after countless crash).
Someone already posted here on the forum that he lost the propeller, I think it was aluminum. Definitely had a nylstop nut. And of course drones canāt be compared to the performance of e-foil engines - 1 m3 of air has a mass of about 1kg, 1 m3 of water has a mass almost 1000 times greater. Clockwise rotating propellers are only used in exceptional cases.

Drones have many mores rpm⦠30000 rpm
Direction is not importent!
Without much thought, Iām pretty sure that itās not the number of revolutions per minute, per hour, etc. that matters, but only the engine torque and the propeller work done per revolution.
All the propellers I now carry, even for airplanes, are left handed.
No, Piaggio Avanti is a pusher plane
Well I prefer CCW props, as my shaft and Flipsky Maytec are regular threated. Makes no difference in performance, but I lost a CW prop already, even it was secured with a nylstop nut. Ok it was not new and used a couple of times, but anyway go for standard and provide CCW Prop;-)
as long as you have power on the motor, the propeller will stay on the shaft even without a nutā¦the propeller is pushingā¦only when ābrakingā there will be any pressure on the nut, but even so the propeller and the nut usually turn with the same speed(at least it should
) so there is no torque from the propeller to the nutā¦A normal nylock will not come loose from a turning shaft, there is no significant turning force on it, the force is on the cotter pin or splines in the propeller.
The problem only arises if there is mechanical backlash between shaft and prop. Then any prop will loosen the nut, regardless in which direction it turns. Then also a nylock will loosen. But there is a solution: Nord-Lock Wedge-Locking Products - Nord-Lock Group
I would expect that the shear pin or however it is called would be shoot to eternity if the prop get lose a bit. For FR and Shadow prop the cavity is kind of flat, but the threaded shaft is long. If the pin is gone, the prop canāt turn anymore so I guess it should be secured?
