Tow Boogie General ELECTRONICS

Tried my assist board with tow rope today and it would torque roll over until motor was out of water that was with a foil on mast upside down to try keep board nose down and rope attached to rear of board .
I don’t know how you can counter act the roll. I don’t think a rudder with an offset left turn would be enough. I think it’s got enough power to get me going if I can get it to drive straight.

We use a modified Manta remote with our own custom firmware, it’s heavily integrated with the single motor steering mechanism so wouldn’t work for dual motor or servo steering systems.

Roger thanks for feedback seems to be an issue in foil world to get good remotes with more channels

For the stock remote, I think @Mantafoils last April (2025) said dual motor steering would be possible with some extra development but not in the pipe atm.

I am back with my problems :frowning:
As a reminder I am using a motor flipsky 6384 and a sequre 12200 on my tow boogie.
Everything is great except that at start I have to be very very gentle to avoid some motor stop for around 1s.
I suspect this is due to some issue when the current spike.
I simplify a lot my design and my motor cables are now directly weld to the esc (no connector at all on this side).
Between my battery I have 1 anti spark connector but the welds look clean.
Thus I am wondering what can be the root cause.
Any idea welcome.

I had some issues and managed to resolve it here, and I think it was Low Power RPM

Try to set Current Sense calibration to 100%

Ok will do. Not crystal clear for me what this one does. Understood it plays with some variation on the current sensor components but explanation on Google are not straight forward for me.

I’m thinking about the possibility to swap from a Pelican case to another for a spare battery on my tow boogie.

It means that I would need to have ESC’s + receiver + cooler in a dedicated box.

For the moment all the elements are in the same Pelican case.

Do you think it’s doable to connect battery wires with amphenol connectors like an efoil but outside or in a wet environment ?
Is there a risk of short circuit if the boogie rolls over ?

Maybe, two Camden boxes back to back.
The battery alone in its separate box (12s5p ?)
