Universal foil assist / efoil / tow solution (2nd)

I tested recently 80A Xcross (with pelican external radiator) with 12s (on a test bench), which has probably the same number of transistors as 75100. It got to 90c after about 20s. It was 40A battery current and 80A motor current. Also it didn’t allow me to increase current farther.
My conclusion was that these mini esc or vesc are not fit for on the body usage, not worth the try in water. Also this esc managed to work only after I added to it capacitors. So maybe something was wrong with it.

Similar to your radiator

First test in waves was successful. The Overboard bag is IP66 as stated, there where a small drip or two inside the bag after 5 minutes of cruising around (not fully charged battery to keep voltage down). Felt scary to only have plastic bags around the battery (in addition to 3d printed housings) so I plan on adding a fuse to each battery cable in case of XT90 shorting on water ingress. Will look into ways of improving the bags folding seal, it’s really comfortable. Input on risk and mitigations are welcome.

I have had no water issues in my new bag until now. Not even one drop. But it looks like there is some steam in the bags of the battery after usage. Propably because of the heating and cooling down afterwards. Until now I had no issues at all, but I am testing in fresh water.
Last time I did a lot of deep water starts on my 14 Liter board and still had no heat issue with the Makerbase VESC 84100 without additional cooling.
One thing I don’t like is that the motor cable does not swim, which is a bad feeling on a smal board (I could touch the propeller…).
Any ideas to make it swim and still look good?
