I have been using the Flipsky VX3 remote for over a year. My first one died and wouldn’t not turn on. Flipsky replaced it. Now my current remote has a problem sometimes the screen turns all white and you can’t see anything on it. At first I thought this was related to heat since it appears to only happens on warm days. Yesterday it did that while I was on the water it was fine first but after 5 minutes the screen when all white. I stopped foiling and tried to turn it of an on several times it took many times to get it back. When I got home it was doing the white screen thing when I tried to charge it. I gave it a whack on the workbench and it came back. Maybe it an intermittent contact. I have another one but I’m using it on another project. I ordered one more but it would be nice to fix this one if anyone has a suggestion.
Sounds like some moisture in the actual screen fogging it up as it will clear so you have a leak there I think. As far as the intermittent performance that might be corrosion caused by moisture as well.
I think there are some threads here that show photos of disassembled VX3’s.
I question if it’s worth the hassle of trying to fix and even after it might fail and leave you stranded.
