2. Build from South Germany. Prone Board, SAITE 63100, 12S7P Molicel P42A

Hey Dale,
Do you have pictures of that board and the cracks?
And do you know why it cracked? I.e. board laminate not strong enough etc …

I’ve been using my surf setup over a month even wiping out in swell and no cracks whatsoever. Have to say though the board is CF and built to last. :call_me_hand:

I think problem was mostly due to the board being super lightweight, with a 3mm sandwich. The inner layer was 4oz fiberglass and outer was one layer of unidirectional carbonfiber so When my dumb ass cut a hole in the middle it ruined the integrity of the fibers and sandwich thus i had to reinforce the edges. Mind you this was back in 2018, have gotten a lot better at composits sonce then lol. Dont mean to derail the thred but here are a couple of pictures.

For my new setup I bought an RL Lower Package from Rene @kiterr :call_me_hand:

So the RL fuselage is compatible with Slingshot mast? without modifications?

Unfortunately not directly.
Rene no longer sells the universal fuselage.
You have to mill the long holes on the fuselage yourself.
@tosh.jah did that for me.
Thanks again for that.

Looks very clean. I was thinking to chop and slot one of my RL fuselage units to move the motor in line with front wing like Fliteboard. Rene is awesome.

Hi @hangloose , very nice setup.

I m doing the same mast plate extension for the cables for my efoil setup, which parameters (infill, numbers of walls) and filament did you use to ensure this part is rock solid ?

Thanks,

Bopla cave successfully completed. :call_me_hand:
In the last few days I have inserted the CF tube into the board and laminated it.
Then I filled it twice and sanded it.
Finally, the cave was painted.
I applied a ConceptX deck pad to the top of the board.

At a later date I might glue a frame or spoiler onto the board.
The box has a 4mm overhang to the underwater hull.
But first I want to see the transition during the first trips to see if there are any cracks.

Now it can finally be finished.

Where did you get that aluminium box from? It looks really strong.

The manufacturer is Bopla. I bought my Bopla A135 here:

How is the aluminum box secured to the hull?

With 4x M8 screws.

Great build @hangloose, been waiting to see it all come together and it did not disappoint! I’m curious what this 3D printed box on the mast is for? Probably for transport and protecting the mast, but seems to be more than just an end cap.

Propeller guard, end cap, assembly aid and transport support

I knew there had to be some function built into it. Another nice detail!
