2. Build from South Germany. Prone Board, SAITE 63100, 12S7P Molicel P42A

Thanks, I was wondering why I needed to reduce flow so much :metal:

Wow, it is so loud, I like :+1: it!

No, the engine is not that loud. But the iPhone boosts the sound

I didn’t realize nylon could benefit from some moisture. Interesting. How do you lock into 14%?

I have 2x500g of silicate in my suitcase. I have to regenerate every 4 months.

Very nice work! I already need a workshop to play without epoxy.
Btw do you feel confident to put the VESC in the same box as the batteries?
I created two different boxes just in case… But I use lipo, which is more dangerous.

Foil Setup for 2025 :call_me_hand:

For the 2025 session, I got myself an additional foil lower package.
Since my previous setup mainly consists of Slingshot, I have three masts that I would like to continue using.
The Slingshot masts obviously don’t fit on the Axis Fuselage without any problems.

The thread spacing of the Axis mast is 60mm.
Slingshot has 51mm.

So I created my own doodad for the Axis Fuselage and Slingshot mast.
The custom doodad is currently being made at PCB Way.
Since I don’t have a milling machine, I made a drilling template for the fuselage.

Now I just have to wait for the doodad and when it arrives, check to see if everything fits.

That should be a nice setup, slingshot alu mast felt sufficiently rigid :love_you_gesture:
What is your intended use on the 999 v2?

Thanks.
Yes, the Slingshot V2 mast is very stable.
Let’s see how well it works with the custom doodad.
First and foremost, I want the 999 for my home spot for eFoiling. Especially at higher speeds over 30km/h, it should be more efficient than my Quantum or RL.
Then of course on the Slingshot board in combination with assist drive.

Next year I’m going to Greece for 2 months and will test everything there extensively :sunglasses:

Today my custom doodad from PCB Way finally arrived. Total cost including DHL Express 85€

It fits like a glove and has no play.
I also filled the third hole with liquid aluminum.

I’m already looking forward to the next session on the water with the new setup.

Thanks @Larsb for the tip or idea with the doodad from PCB Way.

I don’t remember, on the slingshot, does the mast fit in a hole of the fuse or just flat on the top of the fuse?

I would be slightly concerned about the rigidity of the setup, on axis doadad there are “fingers” that go inside the mast to prevent the screws from taking bending loads. Maybe I missed something from the pictures?

Yes Slingshot Hoverglide ist Flat on the Top.

You are absolutely right that I had the Doodad made without fingers.
With fingers the Doodad would have cost me €280.

That’s why I left the fingers out.
My setups are all screwed together butt-jointed and I have no problems with distortion.

I might add a bolt to the Doodad.

Actually, it should have been like this.

That’s weird, i didn’t pay that much and my design had the stiffeners. Wonder what the difference in pricing is… might actually be the small distance between the three pins, it forces them to use a small endmill with higher machining time.
