Looks like my receiver is toast
Was setting up vesc’s for ppm and uart, at first pwm was going only to ~1200 when trigger fully pressed and went up to 1700 with steering. Config was set to 1000-2000. Started working after I changed RF power to 20 and applied new config.
UART for VESC was not working, was not getting battery indication on remote (data_src set to 2). Tried swapping rx/tx, different ports on 2 esc’s (BLE module works fine on those UART’s), still nothing. Checked with oscilloscope and there was no signal on rx/tx. Had gps module connected, there was some activity on signal lines. Tried swapping ports on receiver too.
Not sure what happened but I noticed signal was lost on remote and both led’s were lit on rx. PC still sees serial port but there is no comms. Tried flashing FW, that did not pass SYNC. ESP32 is also getting hot, looks like it’s toast.
Is it possible to order just receiver separately or I will need to buy a whole kit?
Any tips on why VESC UART was not working ?
Can you send quick sketch how it was connected? Only Rx and Tx, no GND and 5V? Always from the ESC connected to E0 output? Any chance more than 3.3V got on the 3.3V rail, over the UART pins for example? Which VESC did you try?
Esc’s are 2x Flipsky 75100. +5v and GRND is connected to PPM input on RX. I had ground terminal removed from vesc uart connector when testing.
Is ground on PPM input and uart shared on the RX ? In other words do I need to connect ground on uart connector if it is connected on E0 E1 ?

I have configured TX worked fine.
Now I’ve been trying to connect to RX and I can’t seem to get it connected to com port? Lights come on once connected but nothing connecting to computer I’ve tried different cords but nothing works I’ve tried connecting battery to Rx and then connected but still nothing any ideas?
Also before I configured TX radio showed everything fine but now since configure it keeps asking to pair to Rx and when I try pairing to Rx it doesn’t pair watched videos multiple times and seem to be doing everything same . I did notice in configuration tx was not paired to anything

Please upload Rx.merged.ino firmware to 0x0 with the cable that works now. After that you should be able to pair and configure Rx.
All the other USB C cables are only for charging then, not for data transfer
Ok Ive got the Rx connected and to the serial Terminal but when I try upload Intergration_Rx.ino.merged.bin to flash down load tool and select correct com port press start nothing happens

Now just need to config now.
Will I need to do Tx the same or will it be ok.

I would recommend to update both Rx and Tx to the newest version.
In the future you can update firmware by using the files without the “merged” in the filename and upload to address 0x10000. This way you don’t lose the config when updating.

its alive so fully stoked but one motor constanly beeping and the other is running but when i press throttle it doesnt stop spinning while other one keeps beeeping something in config I guess?
Ive checked programming on Esc’s and everything is same on both.
i changed min Pwm to 1000 and that has fixed the motor run but cant figure out the Esc beeping like its not binding even when I swap plugs to opposite Esc it just swaps Beeping to opposite esc
