Hi, Is it going to be available for shipping to US any time soon?

Due to regulations we are not allowed to sell to the US.

We would like to, but unfortunately it’s not possible.

Thanks
Felix

Felix. We are about to redesign the internal box holding all the electronics.
Do you have the size of the RX for us? We want to make sure that we have enough room in it.

hello, can you ship to Australia? When will they be back in stock?

Yes! It just arrived.

It looks so nice. My dad will install it later today, and if weather is okay I might give it a go on the lake this weekend!

You did a good job on this remote Felix. Danke schön!

I installed the remote yesterday
But impossible to drive the motor only in uart.
I have all informations on the remote, so the communication is ok.
But the motor didn’t work, if a try with an other VESC, is the same.
it’s work with the PPM plug, but I need with this Efoil work only in UART without the PPM plug.
Anyone try only in uart without plug the PPM ?

I was completely wrong about this

did you configure the vesc tu uart remaote? You need to set that in the vesc tool.

As far as I know you CAN control VESC with UART only. But the receiver has to send nunchack code.
FeRo does’t work that way. So it is only PPM or PPM + UART.

Thanks for your answer
All my Efoil works with UART only
on my latest Efoil version the VESC is at the back of the board, encapsulated in silicon and I didn’t bring the PPM wire into the front box, that’s why I need a remote in UART only

I did not understand by reading the various posts on this remote that the PPM was necessary to control the motor

after a modification,
tested today

Works nice, smooth acceleration, no transmission issue.
I’m happy with this 1st try.
Felix, I have 2 questions

  • I can’t find a crusing control, this function does not exist?

  • We need to activate something for the GPS, because it does not work
no speed feedback and no recording
    Congratulations for your remote

Thanks for the amazing feedback

Cruise control will be added soon in the future.

About the GPS: Have you attached the Antenna? Where is the GPS in the board located?

Best regards
Felix

Yes I attached the antenna, the GPS is in the front of my ABS box, and there is a 2mm carbon cover on top.

no chance of the GPS signal going through carbon
Sorry

The 19.4 is the temperature of the VESC, but what is the -77.9 value?
Anyone here who might know?

Hi Kian.

Motor temp. Incase you install an external temperature sensor. I know a few who installed one and wanted to see this as well. If the sensor is not installed it shows a negative value.

Edit: I think it was unclear that this is the transmitted data from the vesc showing -77. Some vescs output a very low value when no temperature sensor is connected.

Best regards
Felix

… maybe you can write some code if value is ridiculous -77 to not show it on page, just suggstion

Is it possible to “solder” a temperature sensor to the receiver?
If so, what connectors should I use, and what model sensor?

Would be fun to monitor the battery temperature.
