Foil drive is 6374 saute.
based on the @ELEVATE.rocks concept/idea. I’m progressing slowly but can open a complete build if that generate interest. I’m not inventing anything, just learning and growing.
I will of course paint the baseplate carefully. I decided to add threads and close some holes to make it neat.
Can you recommend a flight controller?
Matek are awesome but Speedy Bee get you BLE
Did you have any luck with the 65111 motor. I ended up choosing this motor since I was hoping to get something in between a 6384 and 65161 but feel like I might of made a mistake since I can’t really get enough power without pushing the current pretty high. I feel like I would have to run the current at like 120A if I wanted to get up and foiling. I appreciate any help.
Did you find out if they are spaced the same Tim? I am thinking about getting some aluminium props and a hub and it would be great to know for sure.
Is it only for the ESC and/or the remote receiver ala Elevate ? The introduction of the FlyColor ESC’s in our DiY niche allows new possibilities. Adjusting the size of your device to the mast plate footprint exacltly means decreasing its possibilities though …
Great news. Thanks a lot for letting me know.
Just ordered the three blade. I will let you know if it fits.
Great. Thanks Tim. That is the route I want to take. If the two blade fits, the 3 blade will too.
I have way more space than needed and like the very integrated footprint.
I use mini FESC 6.7 PRO from flipsky, working very well for my light weight (65kg) with big front wing (1400-1900) but very small board (17L), still have to test it with smaller wing, but ESC temperature stays below 60-65 degrees after 5-10 min efoiling (with external ALU heatskink)
I have to test it with bigger guys also, but for me it’s a good ESC for a foil drive assist
Got a pic of the heatsink?
I have that same vesc but it overheats in 13sec even at 40a. What does the custom heatsink look like?
I have the Flipsky version…
