Thanks a lot !!
I will keep informed ; I am not 100% sur that the difference is 30°.

Thanks to @jkoljo for the great development. I intend to use it in my second build, so I tested some elements.
I also noticed a displacement of the holes. Mine was about 10° and within the sample I only drilled three of the holes with the Dremel.

Thanks guys for the reports! @effix can you estimate the offset angle in your motor? Maybe take a picture from the back of the motor, with motor clamped to the mast?

I am wondering if we can find a set of common offset angles, or if I need to adapt the design to work with a freely defined angle.

Here is the Tail_support_FR_clocked_vertical version

It looks perfect for my config. So the angle should be very close to 30°.

@jkoljo, Thanks again for you work !!

Very nice. Thank you for the feedback. If anyone else comes across weirdly oriented screw patterns in the shaft side of the motor, let me know and I’ll think of a solution.

Trying to put the propeller in place for the 1st time, I realize that the shaft is much shorter on the new version … Looking at the motor flipsky page, it is well documented. The old version is 79.5 and the new is 62.
I will have some fusion 360 to play with.

Thanks for the report. Can’t edit the files this weekend, but I might be able to take a look in the beginning of next wk. Let me know how your editing goes.

Looks like they have documented the offset angle in the shaft side mount pattern as well. This allows me to make a proper design for the new FS65161.

Is it possible to release source files for the mount? I’m wanting to adapt it to a different mast that I have, and this is already 90% of the work I would need!
Even just the files with out the mast cut out would work too.

That’s exactly why I released the V2 mount files as STEP

My bad I see them now, thanks!

HI, I currently updating some parts of @jkoljo for Fanatic AL 3.0 Mast. I will publish them soon. Thanks @jkoljo
Some parts could be re-use, others not.

I finaly didn’t take the time yet to redraw the tail support. After 2 weeks of daily use of your work in salt water (PETG without post treatment), it works perfectly and everything is on a perfect state.
If I work on the tail support, I will keep informed.
Thanks a lot anyway

I added a more lightweight version of the rear motor clamp to the Gong V2 mast mount thingiverse page. It has a cutout that removes some unnecessary material. This makes it lighter and cheaper to print using commercial services like JLCPCB.

I also added a motor FR prop tail cone without the support rib.

cool ! to be sure @jkoljo does your ‘FR prop tail cone without the support rib’ is ok for highfly prop ULTRA Propeller FLIPSKY – HighFly - WaterSports Thanks !

I made a tail support for the new motor shaft version from jkoljo work (shorter shaft and the fixation holes have a 30° discrepencies with older shaft).

Please note that the length is done for the standard 7.25 inch flipsky propeler, and then, a bit longer than the original version.

@jkoljo : I always struggle with fusion 360 so feel free to finalise it according to your standards  Thanks again for you great work !

@effix

I started with this prop and found it too big. Numerous posts here suggest either cutting the prop down(which I did first) or buying a different prop ( which I did second - Flite)

The second version Fliteboard prop has made a significant improvement.

Something to think about. :grinning:

I thought the so called v2 was in fact a v1 when correcting the shoot angle.
Do we have a picture of a v2 close to a v1 ?

Thanks for your advice

Nice
Curious about why you have a circular hole through both sides of the mast extrusion?
